Pedlars Wood is a 7 acre woodland situated between Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-naze. Work began in November 1987 which saw commence on cleaning and clearing up tons of rubbish that had accumulated in the woodland. It has now become from the years of hard working volunteers a dual-purpose Nature Reserve that of a pleasant woodland walk open to the public whilte the other an Educational Nature Trail open by appointment for guided walks, bird watching and serious photography.
Every year Pedlars Wood Nature Reserve hold their Annual Open Weekend over a Bank Holiday in May. The Reserve is open to visitors from 10.00am to 4.00pm on each day. During this time tousdands of bluebells which have been planted are normally in full bloom, combined with other woodland flowers such as primroses, marsh marigolds that surround the pond and much more, all to provide for the visitor a beautiful woodland walk. No admission is charged, but we are always grateful fo rany donations you may choose to make at the entry gate.
